The new skatepark in Bennington, VT, will not only serve as a vibrant recreational area but also as a cornerstone of our town’s rich history. Located next to a historic railroad building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this site will provide an immersive educational experience for our younger generation, showcasing the architectural and cultural significance of the past. By introducing a modern skatepark adjacent to this historic structure, we honor its storied legacy and create a unique spot where history and community intersect.
Last autumn, during park construction, the park builders and skatepark team identified areas of the site ideal for adding new ramp features. These ramps are designed to enhance both the safety and overall experience for park visitors. Our GoFundMe is linked below:
May 2025 update: The team from Grindline is back to continue the park build!

Located along the beautiful Walloomsac river, the skatepark will keep the river side walkway and trees already on site.
Plans for phase 2 include a building on site that would house the indoor skate bowl for year round enjoyment.
Our skatepark initiative is led by Nick Pedemonti, whose park was a hub for skateboarding legends like Tino Razo (and Marc and Andre) Jim Gagne, Tim Upson along with countless other amazing skaters. Nick’s Manchester skate shop was also home to industry icons like Dave Mull, of Worble. The new Bennington VT skatepark will have a bowl designed after the original Cutting Edge bowl.
